Ford and TechShop, Inc. have come together in a collaborative effort for this TechShop location in the Detroit area. We welcome all innovators, from backyard tinkerers to software engineers, to use our resources and bring an idea to life or invent the next big thing in automotive technology.
Located at 800 Republic Drive, adjacent to Ford's Dearborn product development campus, TechShop Detroit is a 33,000-plus-square-foot facility with a large parking lot and close access to freeways. It is next door to the Detroit Lions practice facility.
TechShop is a community-based workshop and prototyping studio on a mission to democratize access to the tools of innovation. The facility is packed with cutting-edge tools, equipment, and computers loaded with design software featuring the Autodesk Design Suite. Most importantly, TechShop offers space to make, and the support and camaraderie of a community of makers.
