Successful turning projects require sharp tools. Learn to sharpen various chisels and gouges for the wood lathe.
Working with a dull edge makes it nearly impossible to get a quality cut or control a tool with any accuracy. In this class, you will learn how to sharpen wood lathe tools safely and accurately, something experienced woodturners do throughout the turning process. You will also learn to use special jigs and fixtures to maintain proper angles and profiles on roughing gouges, skews, parting tools and even the fingernail grinds on spindle and bowl gouges.
