TXL108: Industrial Single Stitch Sewing Machine SBU
Class Number 406-28210
The industrial sewing machine is a great tool for your textile projects ranging from fine and delicate to industrial strength.
TechShop's single stitch industrial sewing machine, the Juki DDL 8700 (the Singer Industrial in Raleigh-Durham), is the textile industry standard for consistent, accurate and speedy stitching. This machine is designed to accommodate fabrics of all kinds and weights. The bobbin can be wound continuously as sewing occurs and the presser foot can be operated with a knee lever.
In this Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class, you will learn how to operate the machine safely, get to know the multitasking industrial machine foot pedal and practice methods of controlling the speed and accuracy of your stitching.
The project for this class is an accessory bag.
