WKS929: Demolition Electronics
Class Number 767-28050
No cars are involved here, but you can rip into a microwave oven and figure out its mysteries in this exciting, productive exploration of electronics.
How can a humble micro-controller (similar to the Arduino) control 1000 watts of raw microwave power in a safe, efficient manner? In this 1-1/2-hour workshop, we will delve into both power and control applications as they are found in an everyday microwave oven. We will learn safe, proper disassembly as well as salvage of various useful components for reuse that you can take home.
As the finale, we will ATTEMPT to learn the proper use of the trash can for disposal of the waste items that we have produced.
