WKS826: Holiday Gift: Laser-Etched Sugar Cookies in a Box
Class Number 769-27236
Tired of Santa snatching all the cookies on the plate? Surely he takes them to sate Dasher’s sweet tooth during the long trek back to the North Pole, but that doesn't help when you're jonesing for one of Grandma’s finest to dunk in your cocoa.
What to do? Put your name on them ... or Santa’s! Come to TechShop and we’ll show you how to use our highly skilled sharks with laser-beams on their heads (okay, we made up the sharks) to safely and yummily etch just about whatever you want onto your very own batch of sugar cookies. We'll sample a few along the way, but we'll make enough for you to take back home.
In this workshop, you will make a cool traditional holiday gift: a highly personalized box of cookies! You will etch a dozen sugar cookies and then personalize the gift box. The instructor will walk you through the different food laser etching techniques, and you will be able to chose from different designs and fonts to personalize your cookies and box. If you want a particular design (preferably black and white, no grayscale, no photos), please e-mail email@example.com a few days prior to your scheduled workshop.
Please note: This is not a Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class. Workshops utilize TechShop’s equipment, and all shop rules still apply – unless you have passed the required safety course(s), your instructor will assist you on the machine.
