WKS102712: Electric Imp workshop at TechShop
Class Number 741-37848

Electric Imp is a complete solution to connect devices to the Internet, wirelessly.

The advantages of intelligently connected devices are huge: maximize resources by allowing devices to auto-adjust to changing conditions (environmental, occupancy, etc.), improve safety and security through monitoring (movement, temperature, etc.), and transmission of information to and from devices using the full breadth of Internet services, optimizing support services through remote diagnostic and timely notifications.

While communication technologies have become cheaper and more efficient, the handful of Internet-connected devices that exist are expensive and offer limited benefits for users. The Imp is a small WiFi module with a built-in processor and, along with a cloud service, makes it easier than ever for vendors to bring the power of the Internet to devices and locations it could not reach before.

Bring a laptop and your mobile phone and join us for a free 4-hour hands-on workshop to discover what you want to connect to the Internet with an Electric Imp.

Please bring your lap top. We will bring along a bunch of Electric Imp dev kits for people to play with (as well as provide a list of supplies, in case anyone wants to buy their own set).
