Waspmote is an open source wireless sensor platform specially focused on the implementation of low power consumption modes to allow sensor nodes (called ""motes"") to be completely autonomous and battery powered, offering a variable lifetime between 1 and 5 years depending on the duty cycle and the radio used.

This workshop includes basic examples of how to use Waspmote with an Agriculture Sensor board to detect atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity and soil moisture. as well as its embedded accelerometer or wireless communication through 802.15.4
