WKS935: Grades 9-12 Engineering Activities

This age group will investigate bigger engineering problems and the tools to solve them. They might learn about CAD 3D design, how engineers model things or simulations that make sure the parts fit. How does making a model prove a problem approach? Some of them might discuss mechanical linkages, thermal processes or making a stepper motor drive. Some may get a chance to talk with designers of 3D printers, see a 3D printer working, and discuss how the printers are built and how they help solve design problems.
