WKS20134: Sharpening for the Wood Lathe

In this three-hour workshop, you will learn to sharpen wood lathe tools on the grinder. Everyone will get hands-on sharpening time with every type of tool. You'll learn to use the wolverine jig to sharpen gouges and freehand sharpening of skew chisel, scrapers and parting tools. We will cover some of the theory behind tool shapes and sharpening angles along the way.
While this class is aimed at woodturners, many of the techniques can be applied to other tools.
