AUD009: Autodesk Inventor for Mold Design
Class Number 108-27061
Injection mold design and manufacturing can be one of the most expensive and time consuming processes in manufacturing and prototyping. But it doesn't have to be.
Autodesk Inventor has a number of incredible software tools that make designing complex parts much easier. The feature-rich mold design section covered in this class is one of them.
In this class, the instructor will cover several tools that are available to automate key aspects of injection mold design and testing.
- Learn how parts modeled in Inventor can be used to automatically generate an efficient mold.
- Learn how Inventor ensure that any changes to the digital model are automatically reflected in your mold design.
When you are done with your design, the file can be exported to a variety of different CAM (computer aided manufacturing) packages to generate the code needed to machine your mold on equipment such as TechShop's CNC Tormach mill. Once you've machined your mold it can be used to manufacture parts on TechShop's Morgan Press injection molding machine.
This class is a fantastic way to do in-house rapid prototyping and can help you cut down on the number of iterations needed before you have a working final mold ready for production on any scale.
Sorry, this Class is Over!
But We Have Another "Autodesk Inventor for Mold Design" Class with Seats Still Available:
