WKS819: Cast an Aluminum Sculpture - Lost Wax Technique - Part 1

This workshop is part of Menlo Park’s Aluminum Casting Series
In this workshop, you will make your own aluminum sculpture using the ancient method of lost wax casting.
You will work with Sonja, our sculpture expert and all around highly talented artist, to model the wax into a sculpture masterpiece. You will then learn how to invest your model to create the lost wax casting. This workshop will be completed by the pouring of molten aluminum into the cast.
This workshop takes place over two days, one week apart, as Part 1 and Part 2, totaling five hours.
Please note: Pricing is for one 30-cubic-inch sculpture. Additional casting requires purchase of additional workshop seats.
You are signing up for Part 1 of the workshop: model the wax and invest the model. Register also for Part 2 if you want to see the molten aluminum been poured into your mold.
