WKS433: How to Make a Tote Bag

Learn to sew your own reusable grocery bag!

In this class, you will learn the basics of working with fabric, using a pattern and sewing seams in the right order. You will also learn about the most commonly used seam types and their uses, what the "grain" is and why it's important, and what all those markings are on a sewing pattern. Finally, you will use your skills to make a nice, sturdy grocery bag that has its own hidden storage pouch.

No sewing experience is needed (other than having taken and passed the Basic Sewing Machine Safety and Basic Use class).

Prerequisite class: You must have already taken the Basic Sewing Machine SBU in order to take this class.
