WKS115: Knife Making
Class Number 1250-99191

Knife-making is an art of patience and craft. Learn how to make a knife from scratch using a combination of high powered tools and traditional knife-making techniques. In this class, you'll learn the basic fundamentals and tools for grinding an edge and heat treating metal. You'll also experience a live demo of the waterjet, the machine used to cut your knife blank from a sheet of steel. After receiving your knife blank, you'll get a matching acrylic handle that will be cut out using the laser cutters. With raw materials in hand and knowing the basics of knife-making, you'll have the ability to freely work on your knife with the provided equipment.
