CNC103: Heat Press and Vinyl Cutter SBU
Class Number 989-53488
Are you ready to start making your own professional quality heat pressed shirts at TechShop?
In this hands-on class, you'll learn all the basics of using our vinyl cutter and heat press to add your own graphic designs to shirts, blankets, flags, bags, and more! Your instructor will guide you through the process, including how to create and cut out your own design using our CNC vinyl cutter, preparing a heat press vinyl, and transferring and setting it onto your shirt.
If you'd like to print a T-shirt or bag using your own artwork (approximately 6" x 6"), please bring a vectorized design saved as an .eps file. You're welcome to bring more than one design so the instructor can help you choose which one to use. Only one vinyl cutout will be created during class. Simple is best! Otherwise, the instructor will have some designs already prepared for you to choose from.
You do not need to take Concepts of CNC prior to taking this class. You do need to understand how vector-based graphics work, and you should be familiar with Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW. If you are not familiar with either of these programs, we offer classes in both, in the "Computer (COM)" section.
Once you have taken and successfully passed this class, you can use this equipment for your projects whenever you work at TechShop as a member!
