MAC205: Advanced Metal Lathe - Knurling and Threading
Class Number 357-52852

Using a metal lathe to create custom threads for bolts, nuts or any custom application can seem like a daunting and quite complex machining operation.

This class breaks down the process and clearly explains the concepts and techniques of threading. You will learn about the different types of tools used for threading, anatomy and nomenclature of threads and the step-by-step process to machining any kind of thread. We will also cover the process of knurling parts to create texture for gripping.

This class is a great way to learn a fundamental lathe skill-set and increase your overall comfort with lathes and what can be created with them.

You must have completed the Metal Lathe SBU to take this course.
