Special Events Bringing People Together at TechShop

TechShop is the ideal place to build almost anything you can imagine. It is also the perfect location for your next group gathering.

Whether it's an offsite corporate team building event, birthday party, bachelor or bachelorette party, scouting group, college class, or just a great time out, we take care of the space, entertainment and more. No experience with any of the equipment is necessary, and our trained and knowledgeable staff will be with you throughout your party. We can arrange for catering, including cakes, appetizers, snacks, lunch or dinner. We can even plan for an event photo album.

TechShop Machine Demos: Let TechShop show your group some of our favorite machines in action, like our laser cutters, CNC machines, plasma cutter, vacuum formers, and injection molder. Eye-popping and informative field trips for kids, college students, and adults alike.

Lasers & Vinyl: Two of our most popular machines at one event! Create fun, personalized vinyl decals for your home or office and play with laser cutters. You can etch your own artwork or text onto wood, plastic, cloth, or even a lemon! The possibilities are endless.

Silk Screening T-Shirts: Another of our most popular events. Bring your group onsite to create one-of-a-kind single-colored silk screened t-shirts.

Chocolate Molding: Use two of our favorite machines -- the CNC ShopBot and the vacuum former -- to cut your 3D artwork and make a food-safe mold, and then make a tasty chocolate treat! Molds can be reused and are great for company logos.

SumoRobot Building & Competition: You're going to love building and programming your very own fighting SumoRobot and then competing against your friends or co-workers on TechShop's own SumoRobot competition ring for great prizes!

Plasma Cutting & Welding: Use TechShop's CNC plasma cutter to create unique art or signage. It's great for your company's logo! Our skilled welding instructor will teach you the basics of MIG welding after the plasma cut.

Lasers & Beer: Etch your company logo or commemorate a 21st, 51st or 91st birthday by personalizing a pint glass that you each get to keep. Then enjoy some local Devil's Canyon brew after the work is done.

Chocolate & Wine: Etch your own company logo or commemorate an event on a wine glass or chocolate bar and then enjoy some wine and chocolate after the work is done! Each attendee gets to keep the glass.  

Soldering for Kids: Introduce kids to basic electronics by soldering paperclip people that the kids get to take home. Educational fun for birthday parties or kids' groups.

Blinky Bugs: Kids get to build a simple electro-mechanical insect that responds to movement, wind, and vibrations by blinking their LED eyes. A fun and educational event for younger kids.
