Resin Jewelry Making - Part 1
Sunday, 8/5/2012
12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
TechShop Mid-Peninsula

Like amber resin but don't have enough patience to wait a million years for nature to make you some? Don’t wait on Father Time –make your own jewelry now. Think of all the time you’ll save!

With resin, you can cast and preserve almost anything. In this workshop, you will learn how to use resin to create a masterpiece of jewelry. We will explore two methods of resin use: the pouring technique, using a mold, and the dipping technique. The final outcome will be a piece of jewelry crafted from the collaboration of your imagination and creativity!

Extended cure times are possible, which means that your jewelry may not be ready to assemble on the day you created it. For this reason, you can, at no additional charge, then take the Make Resin Jewelry - Part Two class. If you are unable to attend Part Two, your instructor will assemble your jewelry, which you can pick up after the completion of Resin Making - Part Two.

Please note: Pricing is for a single piece of jewelry.

Workshops utilize TechShop equipment, and all shop rules apply – unless you have passed the associated safety and basic use (SBU) course(s), your instructor will assist you on the equipment. This is not an SBU workshop – you must pass the appropriate Safety and Basic Use class to use TechShop equipment unattended.
