WKS846: Laser-Etched Photo on Metal
Come to TechShop Menlo Park and reconsider your preconceptions by revisiting the old picture-in-a-frame concept: Create a beautiful piece of memorabilia!
During this workshop Robert Slack, our laser etching superstar, will show you how to work and tweak your photo in CorelDraw and Photoshop to enable our lasers to etch your chosen photo on a 6x8-inch piece of anodized or coated metal.
Bring in a file containing a clean scanned colored photograph (if you cannot scan your photo, please bring it to the shop a few days prior to your scheduled workshop so we can scan it for you). You're welcome to bring more than one file so the instructor can help you choose one.
Please note: This is not a Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class. Workshops utilize TechShop’s equipment, and all shop rules still apply – unless you have passed the required safety course(s), your instructor will assist you on the machine.
