|TechShop Gives Price Break to Active Duty Military Personnel|
|Offers membership discount to men and women serving all branches of the United States Military|

TechShop, a membership-based, do-it-yourself workshop and fabrication studio with locations nationwide, today announced it will offer discount pricing to active duty military personnel. Active duty military personnel can now join the TechShop community for as low as $85 per month. This discount is equal to the one TechShop already offers to students.
From hobbyists and artists to engineers and entrepreneurs, makers from all backgrounds and skill sets have come to TechShop to pursue their passions and build their dreams,” said TechShop CEO Mark Hatch, a former Green Beret. “We are thrilled to offer an accessible and affordable, nationwide program to the men and women serving our country.”
In Spring 2014, TechShop will be opening its eighth location in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, VA. Virginia is home to one of the largest populations of active duty military personnel in the United States.
Active duty military personnel may join TechShop at the discounted rate using the promo code activeduty. Personal identification and proof of active duty are required.
