TechShop, the first member- based do-it-yourself workshop and fabrication studio, invites you to the Open House for our location in the SOMA district of San Francisco. Come and take a tour of our cutting-edge facility: Learn how a laser cutter works and how a waterjet cutter cut through inches of steel with a stream of water. Take a look at what our members have been up to — popular marketable products from over 20 of our TechShop members with everything from jewelry to electronics and much more! Tours will be open all from 10AM - 4PM.

Special offers and discounts on memberships and classes will be available throughout the day. From 12PM to 2PM we will have a delicious lunch of barbecue burgers and dogs with sides, sweets and sodas, so bring your appetite!  Starting at 1PM there will be a continuous set of discussions on topics ranging from the challenges of protoyping to best practices moving into the manufacturing stage.
