The first Thrift Shop Challenge has arrived and we are totally stoked!
How do you participate? Pick a challenge amount that you want to be in:
$1 Challenge - Any item purchased for $1 or less
$5 Challenge - Any item(s) purchased for $5 or less
$10 Challenge - Any item(s) purchased for $10 or less
$20 Challenge - Any item(s) purchased for $20 or less
$50 Group Challenge - You may join forces with other people interested in entering the challenge to submit a super project. Your project must not exceed the amount of $50 between all members.
Go to the thrift shop of your choice and pick up the ugliest, most hopeless, broken item(s) you can find within that amount. Make sure you push yourself to rethink, redo and reconstruct your item until it is something completely improved or different. This challenge is currently running, so go and buy your items today!!
Okay, I made my item ... now what do I do?
Everyone who would like to participate can bring their completed projects to the shop on the night of Sunday, August 28th, and put them on display from 6-8PM. You may enter as many items in the challenges as you wish. You must take a picture of your item before you began to alter it and bring it with you on the 28th. Bring your receipt and display it next to your item as proof of not exceeded the challenge amount.
Are there prizes?
Everyone can vote on their favorite project. The person with the most votes in each category wins a prize!
Is there an age limit?
Ages 12 and up are welcome to participate.
