Located on Crystal Drive in the center of Crystal City’s Main Street, TechShop DC-Arlington is ready to help you build your dreams.
TechShop DC-Arlington is made possible by a continued partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Innovation (VACI) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). We are a community-based workshop and prototyping studio on a mission to democratize access to the tools of innovation. Packed with cutting-edge tools, equipment, and computers loaded with design software featuring the Autodesk Design Suite, TechShop offers the space to make, and the support and camaraderie of a community of makers.

Parking in the Crystal City garages off of Crystal Drive is free after 4PM on weekdays and all day on weekends. Across the street on Crystal Drive, parking garages are $6/hour until 4PM. There is also metered parking on the street, which is free after 6PM.
Hours and Days of Operation
TechShop is open 9AM to midnight seven days a week. So that our staff and instructors may enjoy time with their families and friends, we are closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Eve (closes at 5PM)
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day (and closes the previous day at 5PM)
- Christmas Eve (closes at 5PM)
- Christmas Day
