Resin Jewelry Making - Part 2
Monday, 9/17/2012
7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
TechShop Mid-Peninsula

Like amber but don't have enough patience to wait a million years for nature to make you some? Don’t wait on Father Time – make your own resin jewelry now. Think of all the time you’ll save! With resin, you can cast and preserve almost anything.

In this two-part workshop, you will learn how to use resin to create a jewelry masterpiece. We will explore two techniques – dipping and pouring – using a mold of your choice and our vacuum former (time, material, complexity limitations apply). After the resin piece has cured, you will learn how to mount it.

This workshop takes place over two consecutive days as Part 1 and Part 2, totalling 3 hours.

Note: You are signing up for Part 2 of the workshop: assembling the jewelry you made in Part 1.

Prerequisite: Do not sign up for this class unless you have already attended Resin Jewelry Making - Part 1.

If you are not available for Part 2, your instructor will assemble the jewelry piece you made during Part 1, which you can pick up after the completion of Resin Jewelry Making - Part 2.

This is not a Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class. Workshops utilize TechShop’s equipment, and all shop rules still apply – unless you have passed the required safety course(s), your instructor will assist you on the machine.
